The Quix Storage Router Technology is a software / firmware platform designed to run data storage services.

Key elements include:

Virtual Storage Devices: The Quix Storage Router allows to integrate multiple storage devices onto a single platform: You can run multiple virtual RAID systems, Medium Changers and Tape Drives concurrently on a single Quix Storage Router. And just like cables between real equipment, the Quix Storage Router allows you to change the connections between its virtual devices at runtime, without interrupting other services.

Data Integrity & Data Protection: The Quix Storage Router contains several mechanisms to protect data integrity, including CRC, ECC and digital signatures. For certain regions, encryption of payload storage data is available.

An Expandable Platform: The Quix Storage Router is expandable through additional interfaces and interface types, support of more disk drives, and additional functions.
